A British Design Classic

Over the last weekend we where back in London to meet up with a few friends around Brick Lane, check out some stores and take a tour of the home counties around London for a few projects. We came across a british design classic in the for of the Morris Minor (the owner was very proud of it).
Morris Minor was produced as a cheap alternative between 1948-1974 designed under the leadership of Sir Alexander Arnold Constantine Issigonis CBE FRS, a greek-british designer who is probably best known for his other greater creation the Mini. Over 1.3 million Morris Minors where produced from the classic 1000, to the wooden paneled estate version. The first prototype lent it's self to the mosquito airplanes of the 1940's and was called the "morris mosquito" - all in all a great design classic born out of a time when practically and price was key. Rings some familiarity to these days
